Seasons-wise & climate-wise, I would describe it as a 3-season tent, but indeed it is better suited for a warmer part of the year, and in areas where you expect lots of rain. This is good enough for parents with one or two kids, and I see it also perfect for couples with their dog(s). In other words, the total protected area is 105 ft² (9.8 m²), and per person, this means 26.25 ft² (2.45 m²). The vestibule is shown below and you realize it is huge, you have an additional 45 ft² (4.2 m²). The inner floored area is 60 ft² (5.6 m²) so this is a moderate 15 ft² (1.39 m²) per person. Regarding the size, the official capacity is 4 people. Shark-mouth carry bag equipped with an adjustable shoulder strap for convenient carrying short distances:.There are also four mesh pockets in the corners, one is shown in the picture above. You can use a pair of trekking poles and create an awning with the vestibule flap. You have already seen that the canopy is with a mesh. The usual color-coding is in place for an easy setup.Įverything here is a moderately durable 68D polyester with a reasonable 1200 mm waterproof rating. The picture without the fly above shows that you have clips for attachment on the canopy. You can see it also in their Kelty Towpath 3 Tent. They introduced this design a couple of years ago. So you have deep and narrow pockets in the corners, see one below, where you place the end of a pole. The tent is with what they call the Quick Corners design for pole attachment in the corners. There are 3 poles and this is fiberglass of a particular type, a wrapped construction that should be more durable than the ordinary fiberglass. The vestibule is with dual zippers on the sides so you can roll it up and fix it above the door as shown below. Obviously, to have it fully functional, the fly must be fully staked, so the tent is not freestanding. The picture below shows its side view, so you realize that it has an extra pole that supports a vestibule that is on the left in the picture. The tent looks very different with the fly on. There is one door only, and you can see it in the previous pictures. The picture below shows how it looks with a happy family inside. It is moderately tall for its size, so you have a 58 inches (147 cm) peak height. When used without the fly, the tent is fully freestanding. Below you can see how it looks without the fly. So you have a very typical dome structure supported by two main poles. Kelty launched this tent as a new series of two tents for the season 2021, the other in the series is a 6-person tent with slightly different features.
